The Ukrainian Baptist Church of Chicago celebrated Thanksgiving 2018 in a big way. The church held a service on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 22. On the following Sunday, the theme of thankfulness to God for all of His blessings continued during the regular worship service in the morning, with participation by the wind orchestra and the “Born Again” band.
Afterward, the church sponsored a banquet at Maggiano’s Little Italy, a popular upscale restaurant in a nearby suburb, where 241 people enjoyed eating a family-style meal.
In addition, a musical-literary program was presented and included singing by the men’s choir. Many people commented about the excellent food and the pleasant fellowship.
